Sara Hughes-Zabawa, LMSW
Sara Hughes-Zabawa is passionate about helping clients achieve better balance and thrive as they enhance the quality of their lives. She believes that trust is the basis of a positive client-provider relationship so she provides a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their unique experiences. Sara offers a strengths-based approach that honors the client’s inner wisdom and their ability to create meaningful change.
Sara received a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the University of Michigan. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Social Work with a minor is Women's Studies from Brigham Young University.
Sara’s diverse clinical therapy experiences have allowed her to assist diverse populations and life circumstances. She has extensive experience working with trauma survivors and with teens and young adults struggling with depression and anxiety. Sara helps LGBT+ individuals and their families develop advocacy skills, foster acceptance, and explore the relationship between their sexual and/or gender identity with their religious beliefs. Sara also helps clients navigate difficult life transitions, especially those related to their faith, by providing an opportunity for self-reflection, increased compassion, and support in creating healthy boundaries as they honor their individual spiritual needs. Sara is a skilled yoga instructor and uses mindfulness training to support clients in cultivating self-care practices that foster equilibrium and inner peace.

$100 per 50 minute coaching/consultation session
$125 per 45 minute therapy session
($150 for first diagnostic/assessment session)
