Tammy Ellis, LCSW

Tammy Ellis is passionate about sexual health and enjoys helping people become the best version of themselves.  She works with clients to help them establish their own sexual health values, within a framework that puts the client at the center of treatment.

Tammy has face-to-face experience with the gender community, LGBT+, Intersex condition, and various unconventional sexual behaviors and lifestyles. She will work with you compassionately, no matter the behavior. She believes that all people have value, and are deserving of help.  Her experience also includes working extensively in addiction and recovery services with high-risk substance users.

Tammy is a firm believer that people are resilient, that individuals can learn to work through crises, leading them to their greatest growth and happiness.  Adverse childhood experiences do not have to define a person, and individuals can rise above their difficulties.

Faith transitions can be very difficult, immensely lonely, and painful.  She will help you find the tools to not only get through the transition, but to thrive. When it comes to mixed faith relationships, Tammy will attempt to find the positives at the core of the difficulties. Tammy enjoys working with persons of all faiths and makes great efforts to work within the individual’s value system.

Tammy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her bachelors degree in Social Work from Weber State University and her Masters degree in Social Work from Utah State University. In 2017, Tammy was accepted into an intensive program at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where she received her Certificate in Sex Therapy and Sexuality Education, which she finished in early 2019. She has been researching human sexuality since 2013.

In her personal life, Tammy’s passion is paddle boarding.  Any free moment on a warm day you will find her on the water, her peaceful place. Tammy loves animals and is a former national award-winning pet stylist and Nationally Certified Master Groomer.
