Michelle Peets believes in the healing power of being present and honest with emotions and being gentle with oneself. She values providing unconditional and positive regard for her clients as they work through their life challenges at a pace that feels comfortable to them.
Michelle specializes in assisting clients through past or current trauma and has experience working with clients who have experienced domestic and/or intimate partner violence and abuse. She works with clients dealing with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, perfectionism, identity questions, and life transitions.
In addition to working with couples by helping them recognize values discrepancies, improve emotional connection and intimacy; Michelle is also interested in creating a safe space for individuals and/or couples on any part of their faith transition or spiritual journey of identity and values exploration. She hopes to help navigate life changes with greater compassion and sustainable approaches.
Michelle received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Utah. She is currently a Clinical Social Worker in Utah. She is a member of the LGBTQ-Affirmative Psychotherapist Guild of Utah and is LGBTQIA+ affirming.
