About Our Relationship Services

At Symmetry Counseling, we understand that relational concerns may significantly impact individuals and couples. We provide a safe and supportive environment to address a range of relational issues, including but not limited to:

  1. Mixed-Orientation Relationships: We recognize the unique challenges faced by individuals in mixed-orientation relationships, where one partner identifies as LGBTQIA2+ and the other as heterosexual. Our providers have experience helping couples navigate issues related to sexual orientation, communication, and understanding.
  2. Libido Differences: Sexual desire discrepancies can create tension and frustration within a relationship. Our therapists work with individuals and couples to explore the underlying factors contributing to libido differences and develop strategies to enhance intimacy and connection.
  3. Partner Violence or Abuse: We understand the devastating impact of partner violence or abuse on individuals and their relationships. Our therapists provide a safe and confidential space for survivors to process their experiences, heal from trauma, and develop strategies for safety and empowerment.
  4. Betrayal Trauma: Infidelity or betrayal can cause deep emotional wounds and trust issues within a relationship. Our therapists specialize in working with individuals and couples dealing with betrayal trauma, helping them navigate complex emotions, rebuild trust, and work toward healing and restoration.

At Symmetry Counseling, we believe in a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. Our providers are trained in evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and couples therapy, to address relational concerns effectively. We are committed to providing compassionate and non-judgmental support to help individuals and couples overcome challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
